K歌2击队 semi finals

as i mentioned,

the semi finals of K歌2击队 Power Duet was held last Wednesday, at Mediacorp!

we spent the entire Tuesday rehearsing and doing sound checks and run throughs to prepare for the long recording session on Wednesday because all 8 teams were to compete together in 2 rounds, which meant 2 episodes of recording back to back. it was really tiring! :(

so.. YES we got through to the finalssssss!!!! :D :D :D :D

but to be honest, it was our shittest performance yet :((( due to a combination of nerves and stress i guess, i don't anticipate those 2 episodes airing cos we weren't at our best at all. but we didnt make any major mistakes and managed to get through to the finals which is really exciting! hope we'll be able to pick ourselves up from the poor performance and do better for the finals. it'll be held in 2 weeks time, on the 2nd April, and we'll need all the supporters we can get!!!!!! ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh.

a couple of blog readers were really sweet and came down to watch us for the quarter finals and semi finals too, thank you so much for being so supportive!! ^____^ from the bottom of my heart, i really appreciate it!! please introduce yourselves to me next time okay because i had no idea who you were! :(

time to 加油 for the last and final round, and it'll all be over!!! four teams will compete for the 2 top spots in round 1 & 2, while the remaining 2 teams will fight for 1st place in the last round. no regrets regardless win/lose. thank you everyone for all the support and well wishes thus far! it's really been an unforgettable experience haha. we're so blessed to have so many supportive family and friends around us! :)))))

i must say that this competition thingy has been consuming alot of my time and energy though :( i feel so bad that i've been slacking off TVD! haiiii. must buck up. we've actually got a new helper now (who also happens to be my good friend) so she's a great help. wouldn't be able to get through all the daily ops without her! and thank goodness for very accommodating and lovely customers as well.

oh oh oh and the first episode of K歌2击队 with us in it will be broadcasted on Channel 8 this coming Tuesday, 22 March at 8PM! remember to watch K歌2击队!!!! i won't even get to watch it myself. who wants to record it for me???

oh apparently the show isn't on xinmsn due to copyright issues or something, but someone uploaded an episode on youtube! no idea if the episode with us will be uploaded not :( but you can watch the 第一初赛 episode below! haha.

for K歌2击队 Power Duet is on Wednesday, 16th March!

it's the semi-finals and there'll be 8 teams competing for the 4 spots in the finals.

gonna be an exciting show for sure cos all 8 teams are really strong!

the recording will start at 4.30PM and break for dinner, then resume again at 8PM.

anyone interested in coming down to support, please do drop me an email! you don't have to come at 4.30PM, any time is okay! :)

anyway am clearing all the emails and backorder stuff for TVD so we didnt launch this week, plus Gina is away in Bali! chic porter shorts backorders are finally arriving too after a terribly long wait. they'll be mailed out on Mon/Tues! lotsa things to do this weekend cos my dear cousin Nelly is finally getting married on Sunday and my sisters and i are all gonna be her jie meis woohoo. havent planned all the "games" for gate crashing too!! zzzzzz. i've found my dress for the wedding dinner already anyhow. hehehehe it's a new TVD label dress that has finally arrived after months and months -_- the most expensive dress we've ever made but it's worth every cent!

K歌2击队 quarter finals

OMG
can't believe we made it through yet another gruelling round!!! 想YY is now in the semi-finals of K歌2击队 Power Duet!! it was extremely stressful because only 2 teams out of 4 got through while the other 2 teams will need to compete against other eliminated teams almost immediately to fight for the last 2 spots in the semi finals.

damn tiring.

but but but this has really been an incredible experience so far. and having the support of sooo many loving friends and family really makes us feel damn loved!!! SIGH. why do i have such nice people around me!!! i must have done something good in my past life. full of nothing but gratitude and appreciation T.T

anyways, it was really a tough fight this time round, because all the other 3 teams were all really really good!! you'll find out when you watch the broadcast on Channel 8. i don't dare to watch leh! so scary zzz. there were really very nerve wracking moments when the four teams were standing on stage waiting to receive our results. so so glad we managed to pull through! we nearly thought we were goners at some point in time!!! sighhhhhh. but i am soooo extremely happy with how the 2nd round turned out :) the best recognition a singer can get is to touch the heart of the listener.

it's just another 2 more rounds to the end of this competition if we make it to the finals, and the preparation time is getting shorter and shorter too! it's quite stressful actually because for that few minutes on stage, it's a whole lot of effort and hard work and time off stage sigh. but make just one tiny little mistake and you won't get a next chance.

anyway, K歌2击队 Power Duet is on again tonight! Tuesday 8PM :) still don't have me, but the contestant episodes will start airing already! :)

we have about a week before the next round, and a whole lot of stressful preparation ahead. the other contestants are all so talented really. made many new friends, and every performance is an eye-opener and learning experience for us! can't believe how we just joined this competition "for fun" and how much we've learned and had to work really hard at for it.

damn, it's only (or is it already?!) Friday and there's still 5 more days of rush rush rush ahead!

something's wrong with my stomach today because i made multiple runs to the toilet today (four times at the last count),

i suspect i had too much food. one too many Chicken McGrills maybe? >< it's really bad because my supposed detox diet in preparation for Sunday's recording is a dismal and spectacular failure and i now have about 2 days to maybe save my face from looking too bloated.

no MORE over eating tomorrow! :( fruit and salad diet, or something.

in contrast, YZ has been jogging practically daily, 10KM a day (no joke!!!) and has lost about 5-6KG to date! D:

so so so so determined. (Y) for him, but (N) for me ;(

ok shit and i left my laptop charger at the shop so i have like 2 minutes to complete this entry.
