I thought I'd share a little about some of the products in my current skincare routine, which are from one of my favourite brands: Biotherm!

My first experiece with Biotherm's famed Aquasource was more than two years ago, with the Aquasource Deep Hydration Moisturiser! I loved it upon first usage, with its powerful hydrating properties as well as light gel texture which absorbs extremely well!

My skin has never been in need of hydration more, because of Roaccutane! ;( I've been taking Roaccutane for about three months now, and thankfully I've stopped breaking out and my skin is now on the road to recovery! However, Roaccutane has dried out my skin a lot, and thus I'm very grateful for the intense hydration that Aquasource Deep Serum provides.

Right after Aquasource Deep Serum, I use Pure.fect Skin Hydrating Gel, which I feel helps to lock in the hydration from Aquasource Deep Serum, while still feeling very light on my skin! I also feel that Deep Serum, while very hydrating, tends to feel slightly sticky after application, and Pure.fect Skin Hydrating Gel helps to remove that stickiness and leaves my skin feeling matte and clean.

Can't wait for tomorrow cos it's photoshoot day for TheVelvetDolls! Eggcited to shoot the new collection! ^.^ That's probably been the best part of 2013 for me, TVD's shift to our new website! Really love how much more convenient the shopping cart system is, and how professional it looks. Still some bugs here and there, but on the whole it's been so much better on the new website!

Next up, will be our move to a new and bigger office! That'll be happening in November, and it's gonna be a huge op with major renovations and fitting up of the new space that we've just signed the lease for. And of courseeeee, giant moving out sale probably in October! Sounds like it's gonna be a hectic last four months of the year! :) But in a goooood way :D

Tuesday Outfit + Biotherm Purfect Range!

hiiiiiiiiiii.

just a random entry because i thought i made up until very chio yesterday. ok, no not really. i felt terrible after i removed all my makeup, because 卸了妆之后，从Beauty变成了Beast.

i know i sound like i'm exaggerating, but i don't know WHAT IS IT with my complexion lately. is it cos of my makeup? or is it because I've been erratically switching around using different skincare products? or is it the Clarisonic Mia making me breakout!!? but i have like 15938573 clogged pores around my nose/cheek areas and some really bad outbreaks on the sides of my cheeks FML. i'm not even going to talk about my terrible dark eye rings and tired looking complexion. staring into a mirror with my bare face makes me feel a little depressed.

well, with makeup on, everything is good. looks like i have a GLOWING complexion. and i put on double eyelid tape too! makes my double eyelids look more defined. nice. 男人靠西装，女人靠化妆.

outfit! lace accent collar blouse with floral empire shorts yay! cambridge satchel in yellow, because i can never seem to resist matching the yellow satchel with rich pink/purple tones, it really pops and completes the ensemble!

launching on TheVelvetDolls tonight, so i thought i'd share this outfit for those thinking of getting the shirt/shorts! i really love them both! so happy with how the print turned out for the shorts! i always enjoy choosing prints and fabrics at work, especially floral prints, which are my favorite! sometimes, you have to use a bit of imagination because the fabrics come in little square swatches, and it's hard to visualize it on the apparel. but YAY! the shorts turned out so pretty!!! :D

i also wore the lace accent shirt last week for an event that was held at Biotherm's new boutique store at Takashimaya! tried to jazz it up a little, and so i wore it with the boyfriend blazer in pastel yellow and cream crochet shorts! it turned out quite nice i think! also got to catch up with JY who also attended the event, i haven't seen her for really long! yayyy. we went shopping together afterwards :D :D :D

and the new Purfect range from Biotherm! i'm currently trying it out now :D hope it helps with my current outbreak.. :( it's supposed to be anti-shine, anti-pore and anti-imperfection! sounds exactly like what i need!

here's the range :) i brought home the cleanser, toner, and moisturizer! will give my verdict after a couple weeks.

and last night, i went to watch The Avengers again, with YZ! :D thanks to Nuffnang, we got free tickets yayy!!!! super love. watching it a second time and it's still as funny and action-packed!!! YZ enjoyed it too!

and we had a nice meal at TCC after the movie ^^ the food at TCC is surprisingly good!! yay to a good old movie & dinner date.

this is important.. the product is most effective for the first 3 months after activation, so remember to fill in the date of activation on the bottle so you won't forget! not to say that the shelf-life of the product is only for 3 months, but as all the ingredients in it are natural, they are most effective in the first 3 months :) after which the product may start to have chemical changes or be less effacious.

before i hop off for the weekend, here's a tiny sneak preview of another manufactured piece that only just arrived today! i was soooo eggcited to see it cos i've been waiting for agesss for it to come! Topshop-inspired, i bought the original for $100 over dollars and i luuurve the bow belt so much! we had the belts specially manufactured just for this romper, and it comes in four super nice combinations! gonna keep you in suspense first. (actually if you follow me on twitter or instagram, you will spot one other color that i posted already la)

I LOVE THEM ALL.

all my friends kept a piece for themselves already, LOL. only thing is the cost price is really high for this piece cos the fabric and workmanship is fantasticccc and the bow belts are expensive :( definitely a right decision though cos i think it wouldn't look as cute without the little bow belt :D :D :D

diet day 2

good morning!!! ^___^

i had a very good start to my diet yesterday, lol.

relatively good la! stayed away from carbs and i had guava for breakfast, lotus pork rib soup & red mango for lunch, and minced pork with veggies soup for dinner. THEN an apple after my very quickly digested dinner. i feel healthier already.

plus, killer pilates was a torture as usual, it's honestly the most challenging exercise i've ever done in my life! added to that my utmost inflexibility, i almost died. and it's fun cos it's cardio pilates, which means we do a variety of cardio exercises to warm up, from aerobics to kickboxing moves to dancing! followed by strength/core training, and stretches to improve flexibility and balance. my most hated apparatus must be the medicine ball!! so gawdamn heavy. and i always can't stop laughing in class watching the other girls dying along with me. LOL. and laughing at Vera the ballerina :P my thighs and abs are aching today!

it's really a good work out! too bad it's so expensive at the pilates studio we attend. does anyone have any good recommendations for an affordable pilates centre/studio? might look for an alternative once our package is finished.

wearing the Capsicum Green today, with a navy top! the fit of the skirt is really very flattering!

Size M fits me snugly, i think it'd be good for regular UK8 to small UK10! :)

so gauge accordingly, okay? the measurements run a little smaller than usual due to the fabric, so i think the fit should be about the same as the Lampshade Skirt.
